the next issue of the diving horse is the holiday issue — a mix of reflection, ritual, and indulgence.

think gift-giving and receiving, new year energy, letting go, family, parties, resolutions, nostalgia, and hope.

​

we’re looking for art, writing, photography, poetry, essays, personal ads, short fiction, and local lore that tap into that mood. the theme is loose. follow it or ignore it completely. just send something that feels alive.

​

what to include

your full name and a short bio (2–4 sentences).

if you’re using a pseudonym or want to stay anonymous, say so clearly. once something goes to print, there is no editing or deleting.

​

page sizes are 8.5” x 11” PNG (300 dpi),, so keep that in mind when submitting full pagers. Full pagers are limited, but i can adjust sizing to make multiple artworks work for one page. any questions just email! ::)

writing can be a Google Doc, PDF, or Word file, i will format.

​

photography or visual art: attach files directly, don’t embed them. 

​

think valentine’s day, black history, wintertime, love, heartbreak, and hometown stories.
obviously, submissions don’t have to fit a theme.......... but if something’s brewing, start cooking it now.

special note

if you’ve got an atlantic city story — a memory, a ghost, a night gone sideways — i want to hear it.

you don’t have to be a writer. if you’ve got a story, i’ll help you shape it, or connect you with someone who can. i also welcome your own photos of atlantic city from history - it is important to preserve this stuff. not just in print, but online so we can lookback for generations to come.
