the next issue of the diving horse is the summer issue — freewill-maxxing.

​

the world is heavy right now w war, politics, the economy, the slow creep of screens replacing everything. constant ads everywhere, misguided/angry media.  it feels like nobody knows how to break the cycle, and maybe that's because we keep waiting for permission. i notice - especially in those of my generation (gen z) and younger, we have a real hard time figuring out how to talk to others, and part of that, i think, is because of the lack of the third spaces.​

imma big believer in using your free will on purpose. talking to strangers, leaving your phone at home, touching grass, trying new things, doing the thing you keep putting off, choosing good karma, anything bright, airy, alive, and done on your own terms.

​

the theme is loose. follow it or don't. just follow ur bliss. freewillmaxxxxxxxxxxxx. 

but also keep karma in mind! freewillmaxxing is only good and positive if you aren't harming anyone else in the process. be a good person

selected submissions will be emailed a completed copy of the .pdf the day of print, thus notifying you of inclusion. in your submission please include a name you're comfy sharing in the print magazine, or if you wish to remain anonymous. 

​

we welcome submissions of all kind: rants, writings, fine art, poetry, pictures, recipes, stories, memories, songs, thoughts, funnies, comics, etc;. we don't really have any limitations but for longer form pieces, please note you may have to condense you and host part of your material online. 

​

i am also always looking for fun or cool ways to collab - if you have a cover story, i wanna hear it!

next issue deadline not until late summer - think halloween, tarot, spiritualism, the pine barrens, warmth, coziness.... i'm still thinking about a theme. follow along for that announcement.
