u can’t even google a lot of this shit
think of this as a social event with history shared between laughs, the word like, and cuss words, less like a stuffy, basic walking tour. including the story of william riddle and his mother, Mary, who founded chelsea as a single mother of two, despite alllll of the odds. william went on to become mayor, got fire hydrants installed all over the city, and in 1916, while mayor, when he was already an old man, boxed jack cardiff in the name of freedom of religion in his basement. i have a few things to say about that fight. im sure you will, too. this is a nice little sneak preview into the book i am writing on the subject.
we’ll start on albany ave and work our way down to tony’s baltimore grill, stopping outside the knife & fork along the way. we’ll spend about an hour at tony’s before we head to angeloni’s club madrid for our last drink, so come thirsty/hungry and put on your walking shoes. we’ll be walking about a mile, entirely off the boardwalk.
if you’re new to AC, I invite you to come see the city through the eyes of someone who loves it. if you’re a local, you might learn something new about the city u call home.
sunday, november 15, 3:30 to about 6:30 pm. tickets are $77.77 and include one drink at tony’s and one at angeloni’s.
book tickets now to reserve your spot. space is limited. tix not refundable 48 hours before the event and after event, unless you can’t make the rain date if there is a weather issue. You will receive an email closer to date with details.
