thanksgiving week in atlantic city hits different. the air gets sharp. the lights hit the boardwalk at a strange angle. the locals creep out of hiding and start doing their annual “i love my family but i’m going out anyway” routine. if youre in town, here’s where you should be before the turkey coma hits.

wednesday: thanksgiving eve - november 26th

camp. sequins. disco. one uncle doing the robot with full sincerity. boogie nights is leaning straight into its destiny and honestly… let them cook. u might black out or transcend. sometimes both.

a special open jam @ the seed - 5:30-9pm

cj sooy is hosting an open jam at the seed and it’s the perfect “i need to heal my brain” hang. warm light. good beer. musicians drifting in and out. a little scrappy, a little holy.

honestly the kind of night u wander into and suddenly someone’s playing something beautiful and youre like… ok fine, life is good.

friday: black friday - november 28th

all black everything (black friday bash) anchor rock club 11 pm

r&b, reggae, afrobeats, hip-hop. everyone in black, everyone looking good. vip lounge upstairs if u want to feel important. food available. tickets start at 20 bucks.

saturday: the great unstuffing - november 29th

molly ringworm at palace 609

if ur willing to drive to haddon heights, molly ringworm at palace 609 will treat u right. grungy, sweet, loud enough to shake the stuffing out of u.

magic comedy hour feat. joe holiday

4 pm or 7 pm

wyndham skyline tower, 6th-floor theater

joe holiday will hit u with a magic trick, a fact about ac, and a punchline before u know what’s happening. support ur local magicians! it is great if you have kids but also a fun thing to do w pals. link below.

holiday lights + showboat’s particular brand of chaos = vibes. breezy, weirdly wholesome, perfect if u want to stand outside with a hot drink and pretend u’re in a holiday special where everyone enjoys a cig from time to time, as a treat.

thanksgiving week in ac is the definition of liminal. a little cold, a little glowing, a little unhinged. perfect for wandering. perfect for drinking. perfect for remembering, socializing, having fun, being merry etcetc...
