hi,
soon, in just 24 hours, mercury retrograde will end. though we’ll still sit in her mighty shadow until august 17th. they say now is not really the best time to sign contracts or make hasty decisions. miscommunications are to be expected during a retrograde, with this one specifically emphasizing interpersonal stuff. they say it’s important to just weather through this one lol, or at least according to all of the astrologers. i’ve def been feeling weird this merc retro but i feel like that could also be the weather and the smoke?
happy birthday to my cancers! there are so many of you and you’re all artistssss. i had my birthday over mrecury retrograde, too, and uhh, sorry if it was a tough one. hopefully when this retro ends you’ll at least have inspiration and you’ll truly be older and wiser lollll.
and happy almost birthday to my leos! you are gonna have fun!!! rawr!

tonigh: tonymarts presents George Porter Jr. & Runnin’ Pardners and John Papa Gros. Special Giants tribute to Billy Preston, Allen Toussaint, and Levon Helm which sounds like it will be great.
and then pepeloco is djing atvinyl wednesday tongiht… specializing in house, dance expect updeat vibes.
tomorrow is another open jam w cj sooy, which is always a good time. his album is coming out aug 7th, right in time for merc retrograde to end. you can read more about it here.
before open jam, check out the plant appreciation series at the noyes, this week theyre doing hibiscus flowers and butterfly peas.
speaking of plants, you can buy some at the crops farmers market at fishermans park on friday.
if you need a reason for a day trip, head out to hammonton community market in the evening.
excitingly, this friday also marks the beginning of the lebanese festival happening in pville at our lady of the star, all day every day til sunday p mch.

speaking of larger, this issue is gonna be bigger than you’ve been used to! we’re reducing to four copies a year, for one, so wanna make sure you get a good variety of content. two, we’ve already got a ton of amazing submissions! i think you’ll be quite pleased! and you’ll enjoy the lore! if you want to submit for the mag, we still have space! our deadline is a hard august 25th for ads and submissions, and the issue will come out around oct 1st. boo! ;)
